SHRIMP CUTLETS-SHRINK YOUR HEARTS

CRUNCHY CULTES

INGREDIENTS:

250 gm shrimps (peeled and deveined)
250 gm potatoes (boiled, peeled and mashed)
2 cups oil for deep-frying
2 tbsp cumin seeds
2 sprigs curry leaves
2 onions (sliced)
6 cloves of garlic (chopped)
2Ó piece of ginger (sliced)
3-4 green chillies (chopped)
2 tbsp turmeric powder
salt to taste
4 eggs (beaten)
breadcrumbs

METHOD:

Heat 4 tsbp of oil in a pan. Add the cumin seeds and curry leaves. Whem they begin to crackle, add the chopped vegetables and deep fry till the onions turn golden in colour.
Add the shrimps and the turmeric powder. Cook till the shrimps are half done. Mix in the mashed potatoes and adjust seasoning. Divide the mixture into round cutlets.
Dip each cutlet in egg and dust with bread crumbs and deep fry till its golden.
Serve hot with green salad or tomato ketchup.
