Cauliflower melagu peratti-Spicy Gobi Curry-Tamilian Dish

I am out of the station and couldn’t get much time to post more recipes today. Yet i have to post the one i have prepared today and all my family members liked the cuisine very much. So you can try it and put your experiences here ;)

Serves 4 members

INGREDIENTS:

  • Cauliflower florets :720 gm
  • Oil: 60ml
  • Mustard seeds : 1tsp
  • Jeera : 1/2 tsp
  • Fenugreek: 1/4tsp
  • Split urad dal :1tsp
  • Onions chopped : 2
  • Curry Leaves: a few springs
  • Crushed black peppercorn : 2tbsp

Garnish

  • Fried curry leaves : a few sprigs

Method

  1. Boil cauliflower florets till almost done. Strain and keep aside.
  2. Heat Oil. Toss in mustard seeds, jeera, fenugreek and split urad dal.
  3. When the mustard starts to crackle, add onions and curry leaves and saute till onion are translucent.
  4. Toss in the boiled cauliflower,salt and crushed peppercorn.
  5. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.Remove and garnish with fried curry leaves and serve hot.
