Cauliflower melagu peratti-Spicy Gobi Curry-Tamilian Dish
I am out of the station and couldn’t get much time to post more recipes today. Yet i have to post the one i have prepared today and all my family members liked the cuisine very much. So you can try it and put your experiences here
Serves 4 members
INGREDIENTS:
- Cauliflower florets :720 gm
- Oil: 60ml
- Mustard seeds : 1tsp
- Jeera : 1/2 tsp
- Fenugreek: 1/4tsp
- Split urad dal :1tsp
- Onions chopped : 2
- Curry Leaves: a few springs
- Crushed black peppercorn : 2tbsp
Garnish
- Fried curry leaves : a few sprigs
Method
- Boil cauliflower florets till almost done. Strain and keep aside.
- Heat Oil. Toss in mustard seeds, jeera, fenugreek and split urad dal.
- When the mustard starts to crackle, add onions and curry leaves and saute till onion are translucent.
- Toss in the boiled cauliflower,salt and crushed peppercorn.
- Stir-fry for 2 minutes.Remove and garnish with fried curry leaves and serve hot.
