POTATO FRY - INDIAN CURRY

Yummy potatoes

INGREDIENTS:

  • Potatoes-1/2 kg
  • Onions-3
  • Green Chillies: 4
  • Chilly powder: 11/2 – 2 tsp
  • Salt: 4tsp
  • Cumin seeds: 1tsp
  • Black gram: 1tsp
  • Mustard seeds: 1tsp
  • Curry leaves: 1tsp
  • Preparation:1. Take a deep sauce pan , boil water, add 2 tsp of salt to the boiling water, then add the potatoes.
    2. Heat oil in a pan , add the cumin seeds, mustard seeds, black gram etc.
    3. Add the chopped onions and chillies and fry it till the onion turns to golden brown.
    4.Cut the boiled potatoes into 5 or 6 slices. Add these slices to the paste above. Stir them once, add 2tsp salt and 11/2 sp chilly powder and stir well.
    5.Cover the vessel with a lid and cook the potatoes in a low flame for two minutes.
    6. Serve hot with rotis ans rice.
