SPINACH PAKODAS

SPINACH PAKODAS

INGREDIENTS:

  • Spinach leaves - 50 grms
  • Onions 2 or 3 (optional) sliced
  • Bengal gram flour - 250 grms
  • Ginger - 20 grms
  • Turmeric - 5 grams
  • Chilli powder - 15 grams
  • Soda a pinch
  • Water 70 ml
  • Chat masala 10 grms
  • PREPARATION:

  • Wash the spinach leaves thoroughly. Make sure that the old and rotten leaves are removed
  • Rinse it a couple of times until the water runs clear.
  • Keep leaves in a draining vessel. In a separate bowl mix all the ingredients while lightly sprinkling water into it.
  • Mix to get a semi thick consistency. Now break the spinach leaves into small bits and mix with the batter. The batter must not be watery or the pakodas will not take proper shape.
  • Deep fry in oil.
